Robert W. Bigelow, JD, PhD has worked as an attorney in both the private and public sectors. He currently maintains a part-time practice in New York City handling select employment and criminal cases.  Professor Bigelow was formerly the founding partner of a New York/New Jersey law firm and served as the Senior Supervising Attorney at the Legal Aid Society-Criminal Defense Division in New York City. Professor Bigelow also has extensive experience as a TV legal analyst, most notably as a regular guest commenter on TruTV (formerly Court TV) from 2005-2009.

Prof. Bigelow holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, a Ph.D. from Capella University and studied at the undergraduate level at UCLA and the University of New Mexico.
