Hosted by Touro University Graduate School of Business for the second year in a row, the New York City Regional Business Plan Competition is part of the statewide New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC), led by Upstate Capital.
The regional event gives students the opportunity to present their business ideas, with top teams advancing to the State Competition to compete for cash prizes and connect with industry leaders.
Touro GSB & the NYBPC aims to:
- Foster entrepreneurship skills through hands-on learning
- Build networks that connect students to New York's business ecosystem
- Help students launch new ventures across diverse industries

- Food & Agtech: Agricultural technology, food products, and food service
- Health & Well-being: Health IT, life sciences, Medtech, and wellness
- Learn, Work & Live: Education, Community Building, Fintech, and Productivity Tools
- Safety, Power & Mobility: Defense, Energy, Climate Tech, First Responder, Infrastructure, Mobility, and Transportation
- Products & Hardware: For business plans outside other categories
- Software & Services: For business plans outside of other categories
This annual competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students across the New York City region.
